Shi-Lung Lin 林希龍

Mr. Lin was born
in Taichung, Taiwan in 1965. He graduated from Chung Shan Medical College, and
later received his MS degree in Biochemistry from USC. He is currently
studying for his Ph.D. in Pathology at USC. He received his internship
training at the National Veterans General Hospital, Taipei, Taiwan, and then
served as a medical practitioner in the Army of Taiwan. He was a research
assistant at National Taiwan University, and is currently a research assistant
at USC.
Special Achievement
Mr. Lin has been conducting research projects in the
cancer and biotechnology field. He has revealed the secret of activin, a
multi-functional molecule, in the prevention of advanced human prostatic
cancer cell growth. As a result of his creative research, Mr. Lin has applied
for six US patents; two of which have been granted. He also founded a startup
biotech company called Epiclone Inc., for the purpose of transferring his
patented technologies to the biotech industries in US and Taiwan.
