Chi-Huey Wong 翁啟惠

Dr. Wong was
born in Chiayi in 1948. He graduated from National Taiwan University with a
B.S. degree in Chemistry and from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a
Ph.D. in Chemistry. He is currently an Ernest W. Hahn Professor of Chemistry
at Scripps Research Institute.
Special Achievement
Dr. Wong is an international authority in enzymatic organic
synthesis and bio-organic chemistry. He has developed a synthetic organic
method to produce low cost and high quality medicine, which benefits a wide
range of patients. He holds more than 50 patents, has published over 300
papers, and wrote the book, "Enzymes in Synthetic Organic Chemistry". His
accomplishments have earned him many awards and prizes in chemistry circles.
