Andrew Chen 陳威光

Born in New
York in 1970, Mr. Chen graduated from Cal Tech with a Bachelor degree in
Physics and Mathematics, and from Columbia University with a MS degree in
Physics. In 1995, he was a Ph.D. candidate in Astronomy Physics at Columbia
University.
Special Achievement
He received three years of NASA Graduate Student
Researchers Program fellowship during his graduate study. He won praises from
his professors and students in his research works and teaching. He has built a
good foundation in theoretical and laboratory areas, and has already published
four academic papers at the International Theoretical Optics Institute. He has
incisive opinions in using X-ray and high energy Gamma-ray telescope to
conduct searches for universal objects. He has been earnestly participating in
activities of Taiwanese American Citizen Association since he was young, and
has made efforts to take root in the US, as well as, carry on Taiwanese
cultural traditions.
