Sylvia Shu-te Lee 李淑德

 

Ms. Lee was born in Ping-Dong, Taiwan in 1929. She received her musical education from National Taiwan Normal University, and later graduated from Massachusetts England Music School. She was a member of Taiwan Education Department Orchestra, head of Chung Hua String Orchestra, and she is currently an associate professor of National Taiwan Normal University.

Special Achievement

She has devoted herself to musical education, and her students such as Lin Cho-Liang, Hu Nai-Yuen, Kao Huei-shan, Ho Liang-Tien, Jien Ming-Yen, Sin Ming-Fun and Su Jen-Tu have all become world-famous musicians. She also earnestly participated in international musical exchanges and promoted the performance of music by Taiwanese composers. She has contributed greatly to put Taiwanese music and musicians on the stages of the world.
