Han-Yu Chang 張漢裕

Born in
Taichung, 1913, Dr. Chang received his education and Ph.D. in Economics from
Tokyo University. He was professor and chairman of both the Department of
Economics and the Graduate Institute of Economics at National Taiwan
University. After retiring, he was invited to chair the Department of Business
Administration at Tamkang University. He is currently an honorary professor at
National Taiwan University.
Special Achievement
He had devoted his lifetime to academic research and
education in Economics in Taiwan. He has written many outstanding books on
economy. The topics of his books include Taiwan farming economics, western
economics, and Japanese business management. He has been invited to talk at
many international conferences on subjects such as " Modern Enterprise
Spirit", " Human Resources in Economic Development", " Food Problems for
developing Countries" and " Business, Ethos and Management Culture: a
Comparative Historical Sketch for Modernization of the Asia Economy". His
academic and research works have had profound and lasting influences on the
economy and social development in Taiwan and Southeast Asia.
