Lifa Shaih 謝里法

Mr. Shaih
was born in Taipei, in 1938. He graduated from National Taiwan Normal
University, and attended Paris National Academy of Fine Art. He is a print
artist, painter, art commentator and writer. He is also a member and promoter
of " Taiwan May Painting Association", "Taiwan Literature Research
Association", and "Taiwan Culture Exchange Center".
Special Achievement
Mr. Shaih's art works bear simplicity and genius, which
captured the beauty of Taiwan's countryside. His art works were selected by
the international art exhibition numerous times, and a collection of his
prints were showcased at the New York Art Gallery. Besides devoting his time
to his artwork, Mr. Shaih was a columnist for the magazine "Hsiung Shih Art"
and was a famous art history writer. He published the following books: "A
History of the Art Movement in Taiwan during the Japan Occupation" and "People
on the Taiwanese Soil". He later organized and edited his articles into two
books: "The New York Art World" and "Artistic Risk". His valuable work entices
the younger generation in Taiwan's art circle to thrive in the world with
self-esteem and confidence in native art.
